The Xacom I-Care® and Echo® software for the Windows® operating system are complete suites of messaging systems.
The systems are modular, allowing you to select the required interfaces, which means you only invest in what you need and nothing you don't. It also allows you to expand the system as your needs change or the technologies you use are developed.
Both messaging platforms offer similar functionality, with Echo being a general platform and I-Care tailored to nurse call. Both systems offer the same external interfaces which include:
- Kirk DECT
- COBS DECT
- Alcatel OXE (desk and wireless)
- CISCO VoIP platforms (desk and wireless)
- Spectralink wireless handsets
- Analogue PSTN/PABX
- LED displays
- Tone boards
- LCD displays
- Wireless modems
- PET/TAP
- Free formatted ASCII text
- Relay boards
- Security and access control panels
- Building Management Systems
Messages can be received or sent using combinations of:
- RS232
- RS485
- TCP/IP
- TCP/UDP
- SMTP
- HTTP
- HTTPS
- HL7
There are clients for LAN connectivity using either full user graphic screens, or a text based screen for higher speed entry. The GUI client also provides full access to configuring the system.
Using the OpenGL Firebird database, the messaging system is scalable, highly configurable and offers full redundancy with real-time data replication across multiple computers.
